The title should be at least 4 characters long. Your display name should be at least 2 characters long. You submitted the following rating and review. Kudos to the translator, too. Aug 02, Jane Cullen rated it liked it. The book did not continue from book 1, so it was kind of difficult to see how this is a trilogy. Some of the characters were not believable in their actions anymore. The pace here was, however, better than in book 1. The translator into Finnish has done a great job. The writing style of Lapidus is still refreshing, so I believe I'll finish the series.

It would be nice to read about a somehow likeable character in Lapidus' novels.

Never Fuck Up

Although I enjoyed this author's previous book "Easy Money", I found this very long, convoluted novel extremely unconvincing. Told from the contrasting viewpoints of three characters, none of whom seemed particularly original or authentic, it kept stuttering all over the place and I was frequently confused by what was happening. Far from clarifying matters, the denouement seemed to complicate them further. How it ended did not convince me at all, idk. It was a good book, but when I saw there were few pages to finish it and that I thought it was still in the middle of the thing I was like..

And indeed I was right. Giving 4 instead of 3 because Even though to me ends are SUPER important and this one wasn't really what I expected, The book was interesting and catching.

When not to swear

Sep 08, Jorge rated it really liked it. Lapidus continues using his fast paced style, with short sharp sentences that I like.

Maybe Ill give a try to the third book wel, contrary to many opinions I have read about the second part of this trilogy, I thought the story was well developed , with the 3 main characters merging together in a frentic ending of the book. Alrighty then, Don't know what I did for Goodreads to take my review down, but I'll try again. I found this book to be drama central vs. I don't know if that is an issue within the trilogy because this, as usual, is the only book that has been translated or it was at the time of my original review for this book.

May 20, Marianne rated it it was ok. For me it feels too obvious that there is another book to follow Even though I am a bit disappointed, I will still read the next book as well Misogynistic, needlessly violent, nihilistic, and just plain boring. Not one character to root for.
