For engineering as well as for other sciences, experimenting is actually a reconstruction of the phenomena in a controlled envi- ronment. It also focuses on what experiment is and what experimenters do from an engineering point of view. A special attention will be given on what is actually represented when an experiment is designed and re-constructed based on existing knowledge.
